Despite being the second largest town in the Andaman Island, this place is usually less visited and thus offers to its tourists a very calm place for relaxation and solace. The pristine beaches at Rangat are unique in their own way, having clear sand with volcanic formations. This place offer little to the travelers and thus a well formulated plan is required to cover it effectively. The major occupation at Rangat is fishery and cultivation and the majority of the population has links with Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Bengal. For the same reason you can find fresh fruits and organic food in the local market. With little accommodation, food and activities, it offers many green spots having long mangrove tress of variant species. Tree towers are constructed from where the overview of the entire island can be observed. Rangat is majorly a relaxation spot and has beautiful mangrove trails and creeks. It is very famous for its waterfalls which make many natural swimming pools. Points of interest at the location are Aamkunj Beach and Moricedera Beach as a great picnic spot and solace providing arena.
