It’s not a place packed with action, but it never feels dull either. A sunrise paddleboard, an easy swim, or a boat trip across to Nusa Penida keeps things interesting without breaking the mood. Sanur carries an older Bali vibe, the kind that’s harder to find in the busier parts of the island. Just inland, Denpasar offers a different taste of Bali. It’s the capital, busy and full of everyday life. You’ll find temples tucked between streets, lively markets with satay smoke in the air, and the Bajra Sandhi Monument standing tall as a reminder of the island’s past. It’s not polished for tourists, and that’s exactly why it’s worth a wander.
