Brussels Capital, also known as the Brussels-Capital Region, is one of the three federal regions in Belgium, alongside Flanders and Wallonia. It is a cosmopolitan and multicultural area, serving as the de facto capital of the European Union (EU) and the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Covering an area of 161 square kilometers, the region is located in the central part of the country and is home to over 1.2 million inhabitants.
