BR-DF, or the Distrito Federal, is a unique and vibrant state in Brazil, which was specifically created to house the country's capital, Brasília. With an area of 5,802 square kilometers, it is the smallest state in Brazil, but it is also one of the most significant due to its political and administrative importance. Located in the Central-West region of the country, it is surrounded by the state of Goiás and is characterized by a tropical savanna climate, with two distinct seasons: a dry season from May to September and a rainy season from October to April. The geography of the Distrito Federal is dominated by the Brazilian Highlands, with an average elevation of 1,100 meters above sea level. The region is characterized by its vast plateaus, rolling hills, and fertile valleys. The Paranoá River and its artificial lake, Lago Paranoá, provide a scenic backdrop to the urban landscape and are important sources of water for the region.
