Tar Village is a remote, roadless settlement tucked away in the Sham Valley region of Ladakh, India. Surrounded by dramatic Himalayan landscapes, it sits hidden in a gorge, accessible only by foot after a short drive from Leh and a scenic 3–4 km uphill trek. The village is small, with just around 80 residents living traditional agro-pastoral lives.
